Wristbands.

January 10, 2008

We are going to sell green Save Darfur wristbands to spread awareness about Darfur. With the money we make, we will send it to refugees in Darfur and in Chad. Many of the people in Darfur have been kicked off their land and are forced to cross the border to Chad.

I think it is possible that a group of 8th graders could make a difference. With the help of the Internet, we can spread information to everyone, and we are not doing this as a joke. Our group is really trying to make a difference. Also, I think it means a lot if a group of 8th graders have the maturity and are willing to try to make others see what’s going on in Darfur. So please support us and comment us if you have any questions or ideas.

Hey guys so we are thinking about buying about 100 wristbands and selling them in the morning in the front of the school. The price is going to be 2.00 a wrist band.

He guys. I am a teacher working in Doha who is also working with 8th graders interested in Global Issues. I have added your blog to our blog role and written a brief post about our connection. Please come to our site and comment and we will do the same. Perhaps we can Skype or talk further about success and failures we each face.

I hoping to hand over ownership of our blog to our students very soon.

Keep it up. You can and will make a difference. A book you may want to check out is What is the What by Dave Eggers and come over and see some of the links we have. I am sure we will talk more in the future. You have our support.

This is a great idea, why green though, shouldn’t you try more of a color related to darfur, such as red or black?
